Pre-Wedding Skincare - What to do for the 3 months leading up to your big day.

Wedding season is right around the corner, and I’m sure if you are a bride-to-be, bridesmaid, or mother of the bride, this is not news to you. Chances are you have all your workouts, beauty appointments, and shopping trips locked in, but have you thought about skincare? This blog is all about skincare to achieve your goals before the big day.

3 Months Before the Wedding - This is the best time to try more intensive facials and make sure you love your aesthetician. It gives your skin plenty of time to adjust to the new treatments and allows your aesthetician to develop a game plan for homecare and visits for the next few months before your big day. If the game plan includes a peel in the future, this timeline also gives plenty of time to prep your skin for a peel and for your skin to heal post-peel before the wedding.

If you are coming to Health Resonates for this service, we recommend you try any of our 90-minute services. This will give us plenty of time to do whatever we decide together will be best. Just because you book one facial doesn’t mean you are stuck doing that. We can always switch you to a more custom service.

2 Months Before the Wedding - This is the time for a peel! If you want to clear up scarring and pigmentation and give your skin a beautiful glow, an intensive peel two months before the big day may be the best bet.

As I said before, please make sure you have prepped your skin before a peel with the proper recommendations from a professional. Your skin may shed but don’t worry. You have plenty of time for the radiant and fresh skin below to reveal itself. Make sure you are doing this step when you have a solid seven days where you can handle your skin shedding.

1 Month Before the Wedding - This is more about what not to do. At this point, you and your aesthetician should have a game plan that you should stick to. Avoid any new products or skincare treatments that you aren’t sure how your skin will react to, avoid overexposure to the sun, and ask your aesthetician for recommendations on if/when you should be doing any hair removal on your face and what products (if any) you should stop before doing so.

This recommendation is to ensure you have the happiest skin possible on your wedding day. If you aren’t already, this is a great time to add an at-home Gua Sha routine to your skincare regime to help depuff and sculpt your face for the big day.

1 Week up to the Day of the Wedding - This time frame is about pampering. Enjoy a relaxing facial or massage with lots of hydration focus. Try out microcurrent and keep up with your Gua Sha ritual. We highly recommend doing it on yourself or receiving a Gua Sha Facial massage the day of your wedding to share glowing radiant skin and a sculpted face that won’t need over-contouring - just be mindful that you will want to have time for a shower after this so your hair isn’t oily for the wedding.

Suppose you are booking these with Health Resonates. In that case, we recommend our Natural Beauty Facial the week of the wedding (skip the extractions), try our Fire & Ice Body Treatment to reveal glowing skin from head to toe or request a traveling service to your location to receive a Gua Sha Facial Massage the morning of your big day.
